Abstract

V diplomskem delu je obravnavana tematika dvojezičnosti otrok z vidika strokovnih delavcev v vrtcu. Teoretični del je sestavljen iz štirih poglavij. V prvem poglavju so obravnavane razlage govornega razvoja enojezičnih otrok, v drugem poglavju pa so opisani dejavniki govornega razvoja. V tretjem poglavju je narejen pregled govornega razvoja pri dvojezičnih otrocih ter primerjava razvoja govora enojezičnih in dvojezičnih otrok. Zadnje poglavje teoretičnega dela se približa tematiki vrtca, saj govori o pomenu strokovnega delavca pri razvoju drugega jezika otroka. V empiričnem delu so predstavljeni rezultati, pridobljeni z intervjuji s strokovnimi delavci v vrtcu, ki so imeli v skupino vključenega vsaj enega dvojezičnega otroka. Vsak intervju je posebej razčlenjen, narejeni so tudi zaključki glede na vse zbrane odgovore. Strokovni delavci so odgovarjali na vprašanja o svojih izkušnjah in načinih dela z dvojezičnimi otroki, o svojem poznavanju razvoja govora dvojezičnih otrok in o svojem mnenju o dvojezični vzgoji otroka.

Secondary title: Early childhood educator's beliefs about development of bilingualism in children
Secondary abstract: In this thesis we can read about development of bilingualism and how professional workers in kindergarten see the development of speech in bilingual children. In theoretical part of this thesis we can read about development of speech in monolingual children and later on in bilingual children. There is also a comparison of both. The last chapter looks over the theme from the perspective of professional workers in kindergarten and their role in the development of second language. Empirical part of the thesis contains the results of the interviews made with professional workers in the kindergarten which had at least one bilingual child in their group. Every interview is first analysed separately and then conclusions are made on basis of all the interviews together. Professional workers discuss their experience and their way of work with bilingual children, their knowledge on development of speech of bilingual children and their opinion in bilingual upbringing.
