Abstract

Podatki so bili pridobljeni s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika in 5-stopenjske lestvice zadovoljstva s samim sabo, šolo in starši.

Secondary abstract: Theoretical framework of master's thesis titled Facebook and Satisfaction of Adolescents offers an overview of existing knowledge about media and Facebook influence on adolescents and highlights key words like adolescence, self-image, media, internet and social networking sites. The empirical part deals with Facebook influence on satisfaction of Slovene pupils. The study involved 204 pupils of six primary schools from Styria. The data for pupils were gained with the help of the questionnaire and the Likert's scale, which measured satisfaction of adolescents with themselves, school and parents. Findings indicate that the majority of adolescents uses Facebook, primarily for chatting with friends. It is important to point out that pupils, who spend a lot of time on Facebook have considerably lower grades and spend less time studying. Pupils involved in the research expressed high level of satisfaction with their parents, themselves and, also, school. Research also shows negligible, but positive correlation between Facebook and general satisfaction of adolescents.
