Abstract

V diplomskem delu z naslovom Primerjava dopoldanskih malic in vrtčevskih zajtrkov v mariborskih šolah in vrtcih smo analizirali prehrano predšolskih in šolskih otrok v mariborskih osnovnih šolah in vrtcih. Namen je bil ugotoviti, kako skrbijo za prehrano otrok v omejenih ustanovah. Zanimalo nas je, ali so kakšne razlike med mestnimi in primestnimi vrtci in osnovnimi šolami. V naš raziskovalni vzorec smo vključili 21 osnovnih šol in 14 vrtcev. Anketirali smo sestavljalce jedilnikov in analizirali 10 jedilnikov šolskih malic in vrtčevskih zajtrkov, objavljenih na spletnih straneh šol in vrtcev v mariborskem okolišu. Ugotavljamo, da se vzgojno-izobraževalne ustanove sicer trudijo, da bi bile malice in zajtrki čim bolj zdravi, vendar pa še vedno močno posegajo po sladkorju in v prehrano vključujejo nezdrava živila, ki v take ustanove ne sodijo, ter se premalo zavedajo, da so pomemben člen v privzgajanju zdravih prehranjevalnih navad, ki bodo dolgoročno pomembno vplivale na zdravje in poznejšo kakovost življenja otrok.

Secondary abstract: In this thesis, titled A comparison of morning meals and kindergarten breakfasts in schools and kindergartens in Maribor, we analyzed nutrition of preschool and primary school children in Maribor. The purpose of the thesis was to shed light on how educational institutions organize the nutrition of pupils. We wanted to know if there were any differences between urban and suburban kindergartens and primary schools. Our research sample contains 21 primary schools and 14 kindergartens. We surveyed school personnel in charge of making the menu and analyzed 10 school breakfast menus, published on homepages of participating schools from the Maribor district. We discovered that educational establishments do their best in order to provide healthy breakfast and snacks, but they still overuse sugar and often include unhealthy dishes that do not belong in these institutions. They also often underestimate the fact that they play an important role in imparting healthy eating habits to their pupils, which will have long-term effects on their health and quality of life later on.
