Abstract

Secondary title: Developing health relationship of pupils from the 1st triad with inclusion of the project Healthy school in Prekmurje area
Secondary abstract: Food habits, movement and free time are categories that importantly influence children's health. We noticed that these habits have changed to worse in modern times and can influence health negatively, so we focused our research on that. The purpose of my diploma paper was to find out, what attitude children have towards health, exactly what is their attitude towards food, drinking enough liquids, movement and free time. Children's attitude towards health can be influenced by teaching contents, so we were interested whether the contents are included at subject environment study. Next to teaching contents, school takes care for health with different projects. Among them is a project Healthy school. We were interested if there was a difference between children and their attitude towards health according to the participation of the school in the project. In the theoretical part, we presented the concept of health in details, the consequences of unhealthy habits and what can we do to improve them, so healthy way of life. Here we also described the project Healthy school. The empirical part studied the existence of differences towards health attitude between the children who are involved in the project Healthy school and the children who are not. The research was carried out in Prekmurje, in six schools among pupils age 6 to 8. Three schools are involved in the project and three schools are not. We found out that mostly all students have breakfast. They do not eat enough fruit and vegetables and they drink too many sweet drinks but they do not drink enough water. The children love moving and they move enough. They spend most of their free time on sports, playing with friends, using a computer and television. The research has shown that the influence of the project Healthy school is not as big as we expected.
