Povzetek

Diplomsko delo je sestavljeno iz teoretičnega in empiričnega dela. V teoretičnem delu so predstavljeni glavni ekološki problemi današnjega časa, kot so: onesnaženost zraka, vode, tal, problemi z odpadki, ozonska luknja, povečan učinek tople grede in kisli dež. Poiskali smo različne rešitve, kako bi lahko zmanjšali te probleme. Predstavili smo mednarodno uveljavljen projekt Ekošola kot način življenja, katerega namen je razvijanje in spodbujanje ekološke ozaveščenosti v šolah, izvajanje številnih dejavnosti v okviru pouka in tudi izven ter odgovorno ravnanje z okoljem. V empiričnem delu diplomskega dela smo ugotavljali, kakšna je skrb za okolje učencev, ki obiskujejo ekošole. Raziskavo smo izvedli med učenci četrtega, petega in šestega razreda osnovnih šol v Prekmurju. Od tega sta bili dve šoli mestni in dve primestni. Ugotovili smo, da učenci v večji meri dobro poznajo izraz ekošola in da največ informacij o onesnaževanju okolja dobijo na televiziji in spletnih straneh. Izkazalo se je, da so varčni tudi pri ravnanju z vodo in električno energijo, večina učencev doma tudi ločuje odpadke. Učenci zelo dobro poznajo dejavnosti za ohranjanje čistega okolja, ki se izvajajo na šolah, in večini učencev se zdi pomembno, da obiskujejo šolo, ki je ekošola.

Sekundarni povzetek: The thesis consists of theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part presents the main environmental problems of our time, such as pollution of air, water and soil, waste problems, the ozone hole, increasing greenhouse effect and acid rain. We have identified various solutions on how to reduce these problems. We have also presented internationally recognized Eco-Schools project as a way of life, the purpose of which is to develop and promote ecological awareness in schools, implementing a number of activities within the school and beyond, and responsible environmental management. In the empirical part of the thesis we have tried to determine how the pupils, who attend the Eco-Schools, implement environment protection. The survey was carried out among pupils of the fourth, the fifth and the sixth grade of elementary schools in Prekmurje, of which two schools were situated in the city centre and two were suburban schools. We found out that students are mainly familiar with the term Eco-School and that they get most information on environmental pollution from television and websites. It turns out that they are efficient in handling water and electricity, the majority of pupils also separates waste at home (recycle). Students are familiar with the activities for the preservation of a clean environment that are carried out in schools, and most of the students find attending a school that is an Eco-School important.
