Abstract

V diplomski nalogi smo raziskovali in predstavili teoretične in praktične vidike upodobitve tehnologij masivnih podatkov na primerih realnočasovnih informacij o delovanju naprav ter okoljskih podatkov. Diplomsko delo je razdeljeno na dva dela. Prvi del vsebuje teoretično predstavitev področja masivnih podatkov in primere njihove uporabe v medijih. Sledi mu teoretična predstavitev področja upodobitev podatkov s pomočjo preglednih plošč in grafikonov. V drugem delu predstavljamo izdelavo praktične upodobitve masivnih podatkov o uporabi in delovanju spletne skupnosti Alter.si, informacije pa so obogatene s podatki Agencije Republike Slovenije za okolje. Delovanje izdelanih upodobitev smo preverili tudi s pomočjo eksperimentalnega napada na spletno stran. Ustreznost izdelanih rešitev pa analiziramo glede na rezultate intervjujev s strokovnjaki na področjih masivnih podatkov in medijske komunikologije.

Secondary abstract: In this diploma thesis we have studied and presented the theoretical and practical aspects of Big Data technologies in two use-cases, namely real-time visualization of hardware performances and visualization of environmental data. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical and explains Big Data and usage of Big Data technologies in media. It is followed by theoretical explanation of data visualization with dashboards and charts. The second part presents the implementation of Big Data technology with the data about traffic, user interaction and server utilization for Alter.si web community. The data is enriched with information from Slovenian Environment Agency. In order to test the dashboards we have executed the experimental attack to the website and evaluated the finished implementation by the results of the interviews with Big Data and media communication specialists.
