Abstract

Secondary title: RECOGNISABILITY OF THE TRADITIONAL FOLKLORE DANCES WITH PUPILS AT ELEMENTARY
Secondary abstract: The Graduation thesis entitled Recognisability of the traditional folklore dances with pupils at elementary school consists of a theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part we presented dancing in general and folk dancing, we focused in more detail on one of the Slovenian folk dances called "the štajeriš". We also introduced the teaching of folk dances, what is important for the management of folklore groups, described the clothing called "costumes", and briefly presented some of the selected manners and habits of our ancestors. In the empirical part we have presented the results of the survey that we implemented with the help of a questionnaire. The survey included 171 9th grade pupils from the following schools: Miklavž na Dravskem polju, Borci za Severno mejo, Voličina, Pesnica in Prežihov Voranc. We wanted to find out how many children engage in dance activities, what attitude they have to dancing, if they are interested in dancing at all ..., and to explore the visibility of the traditional folk dances and the attitude of the students to the folklore and everything what is related to it. We determined that the students are not interested in folklore and prefer other types of dances. The survey also revealed that the pupils also did not like the folk costumes and folk music in general.
