magistrsko delo Management informacijskih sistemov, Analiza in načrtovanje informacijskih sistemov
Abstract
V magistrski nalogi je obravnavan proces vpeljave in integracije agilnih metod razvoja in vzdrževanja informacijskih sistemov v obstoječe bančno okolje.
V bančnih poslovnih sistemih je zaznan problem počasnega uvajanja razvitih funkcionalnosti programske opreme v produkcijsko okolje, prekoračitev rokov, oteženo sledenje in prilagodljivost spremembam v zahtevah in neusklajeno določanje prioritet uporabniških zahtev.
Predvideni učinki so izboljšani procesi upravljanja razvoja, večja prilagodljivost upravljanja zahtev, skrajšanje časovnega obdobja razvoja v okvir zastavljenih rokov in zmanjšano tveganje zamud, zmanjšanje števila napak in znižanje stroškov vzdrževanja.

Introduction of agile methods and lean approaches in banking |
Secondary abstract: |
The Master's thesis deals with the process of implementation and integration of agile development methods and maintenance of information systems within the existing banking environment.
Within the banking business systems is detected a problem of slow implementation of developed software functionality into a production environment, overrun deadlines, difficult tracking and adaptability to changes in requirements and uncoordinated prioritization of user requirements.
Featured are examples of good practices in foreign banking environments, which relate to the preparation of the business operating environment for the introduction of lean approaches to software development. Given is a review of expert literature on lean and agile approaches methodologies. Analysed are existing processes of application solutions development in specific banking environment, project management has used agile method kanban.
The banking sector has been historically an environment where the implementation of innovations proceeding more slowly than in other areas of the economy which is also reflected in the software development. The reciprocal of this is the result of non-intensive change and alternation of banking products to banks and expectations of clients for banking products to be stable, reliable, and their funds securely invested with a zero risk of loss of capital value.
The survey was conducted in an environment of Slovenian commercial bank which has a strong own team of experts in the field of information technology with necessary knowledge to carry out business analysis, design and software development. In 2015, at the level of the European System of Central Banks started to operate TARGET2-Securities, a single technical platform for securities settlement. Slovenian banks must include in the system until 2017. A rapid response and execution without errors and irregularities is expected, otherwise that would mean a potential loss of customers. The system should ensure a high level of security and transparency in the implementation of transactions.
Estimated effects are the development of improved management processes, greater flexibility in the management of requirements, shorter development times and reduced risk of delays, errors and maintenance costs. |
