diplomsko delo
Abstract

Using electronic resources for teaching in primary school |
Secondary abstract: |
The thesis presents a modern view on teaching and learning, constructivist and connectivist learning theories, electronic resources, electronic textbooks and their use in the classroom. In the empirical part a descriptive and causal non-experimental method of educational science research was used. The extent to which the teachers use electronic resources and electronic textbooks in the classroom and how often the students use them for studying at home was investigated. Data were collected using two separate questionnaires for teachers and students of the third triad of Drago Bajc primary school in Vipava. When analysing the selected responses, it was found out that teachers often use electronic resources and electronic textbooks in the classroom, but they rarely allow students to use them individually. Therefore, the students hardly ever use electronic textbooks in the classroom independently. So, it is not surprising that only a third of the pupils surveyed confirmed the use of electronic resources when studying at home. Many questions still remain open for further research. For example, do the teachers, while using electronic textbooks in the classroom, also show the pupils how to learn from a variety of resources that are available in electronic form; to what extent the pupils are able to choose or how to teach them to select authentic resources, that are appropriate for the level of their knowledge, from a variety of electronic resources available on the World Wide Web. |
