Abstract

To me je seveda še dodatno vzpodbudilo k raziskavi, v koliki meri le to opremo poznajo v osnovnih šolah in v koliki meri si jo želijo preizkusiti in z njo navdušiti učence.

Secondary abstract: This thesis is the result of interest in using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in education. It is quite well known that high schools are technologically more equipped because of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport financial support. They give subventions to high schools through public tenders and with this instrument high schools gain greater amount of the equipment. That made me curious about using the ICT in primary schools, mostly in teaching Chemistry and Technology. I wondered what kind of ICT tools are being used, how much are they being included into a lesson, where did teachers learn how to handle with them and how does that reflect on students. I am working professional in promoting the use of Vernier's equipment in schools. This encouraged me even more to do a survey about how they are familiar with this equipment in primary schools, to what extent they want to try it and make students enthusiastic about it. In the last part of the thesis I placed the data into the European area, analysed them based on previous surveys, which were implemented in Slovenia and Europe. I have realised that we are well equiped according to Europe but teachers should be more inovative regarding to the use of the ICT tools . ICT should be used during different parts of the lesson, it should be included into practical training and experimental work at Chemistry. This would make the experimental and practical work more important, they would be supported by ICT. Students will meet with this way of working on every step in their real life and they will have to learn how to handle with it. National Education Institute has played a great role educating teachers in using the ICT at lessons. In my opinion, the state should financially support the use of ICT in education more and not less as it actually does.
