Abstract

Secondary abstract: The aim of this diploma is to study the importance of learning in preschoolage children that mostly happens through playing, which is a child s basic activity for shaping his or her personality and attitude towards the world. In recet years, the emphasis for the learning of natural science has been on the importance of active learning, becouse experts believe that children learn the most when they are active. Children that learn actively are focused on their actions and thoughts, and anitiate activities that originate from their internal motivation, personal interests and purposes. Knowledge gained from personal experiences and cognition is longer lasting than the knowledge that children gain as passive participants of a learning process and it simultaneously gives children the tools for solving problems in everyday life.
