Abstract

Diplomska naloga je tako v teoretičnem kot tudi empiričnem delu usmerjena na vključevanje staršev v matematično izobraževanje predšolskih otrok. V teoretičnem delu spoznavamo sodelovanje med starši in vrtcem, oblike in načela takšnega sodelovanja. Ob enem pa spoznamo vpliv staršev na matematično izobraževanje otrok, nekatere oblike in programe za izobraževanje staršev s tega področja ter navedemo nekaj napotkov in gradiv, ki se jih starši lahko poslužujejo s svojimi otroki. Da bi pa bi staršem še bolj približali področje matematike za predšolske otroke, smo se v praktične delu diplomske naloge odločili za načrtovanje matematičnega dne, ki je odlična priložnost za druženje staršev in otrok ob ukvarjanju z matematiko. V empiričnem delu predstavljamo rezultate raziskave, ki smo jo izvedli ob uporabi anketnega vprašalnika za starše. Namen je bil ugotoviti, koliko starši sodelujejo z vrtcem na področju matematike ter kako pogosto doma s svojimi otroki spoznavajo oziroma urijo matematične spodobnosti. Raziskovali smo poznavanje kurikula, mnenja staršev o smiselnosti vpeljave matematičnih vsebin že v vrtec. Zanimala nas je tudi seznanjenost staršev z organizacijo kakršnih koli dejavnosti oziroma delavnic za starše in pa njihovo udejstvovanje na podobnih vsebinah pripravljenih v vrtcu. Z raziskavo smo želeli ugotoviti, v kolikšni meri starši doma z otrokom igrajo matematične igre.

Secondary abstract: The graduation thesis is in theoretical and empirical part oriented toward an integration of parents into the mathematical education of preschool children. The theoretical part represents cooperation between parents and nursery school, forms and principles of the cooperation. Furthermore, we discover the parents' impact on children's mathematical education, forms and training programmes for the parents on the field of Mathematics. As well, we list some guidance and material for them to use. In practical part of the graduation thesis we wanted to bring the field of Mathematics closer to the parents and we decided to plan a mathematical day. It is an excellent opportunity for socialising of parents and children accompanied by Mathematics. The empirical part presents the results of the research which was based on questionnaire intended for parents. The main purpose was to find out how much parents cooperate with the nursery school on the field of Mathematics and how often they train mathematical abilities with their children. Furthermore, we discovered the knowledge of preschool curriculum and we wanted to get parents' opinion about introduction of mathematical contents in the nursery school. Additionally, we were interested in parents' familiarity with the organization of any kind of mathematical activities or workshops for parents and their participation in these activities and workshops. With the research we also wanted to know how often parents play mathematical games with their children.
