Abstract
Ti prispevki vključujejo prispevke pokojninskega in invalidskega zavarovanja, prispevke obveznega zdravstvenega zavarovanja in zdravstvenega varstva, prispevke starševskega varstva in prispevke za zaposlovanje.

ǂThe ǂobligation to pay social security contributions for people from employment and self-employed in the Republic of Slovenia in comparison with United Kingdom |
Secondary abstract: |
Social security operates in accordance with prescribed principles, and serves as protection in case of social problems. Those, who regularly pay social security contributions according to the rules, are eligible for protection. These contributions include contributions for pension and disability insurance, health insurance, maternity allowances, and contribution for employment. We determined international and national sources essential for operation and existence of social security. Furthermore, we analysed the social security regulations of payment in Republic of Slovenia and in the United Kingdom. When we examined and compared legislation on social security for employed earners and self-employed earners in the two countries, we confirmed that compared to Republic of Slovenia, the United Kingdom has lower contributions. The finding was proved through concrete calculations. |
