magistrsko delo
Abstract
Največji poudarek smo namenili dostopnosti muzejev za slepe in slabovidne v Sloveniji, kjer smo podrobneje opisali, kakšne prilagoditve in pristopi že obstajajo v slovenskih muzejih.

Master's degree titled Accessibility to Museum Exponents for the Disabled and Visually Impaired consists of theoretical and empirical part. In the introduction the term 'a disabled and visually impaired person' is introduced, further on we focused on and explained the expression 'blind and visually impaired'. We were primarily interested in how public cultural institutions are adjusted to the disabled. The main focus was on the accessibility to museums for the blind and visually impaired in Slovenia, so we described in detail what adjustments and accessibilities had been used in Slovenian museums so far. We were especially interested in what kind of special equipment and technical accessories they use and what an appropriate museum for the blind and visually impaired should look like. In the empirical part there are results of the research, the goal of which was to analyze the accessibility to Slovenian museums for blind and visually impaired people. In the second part of the empirical research we present an adjustment for blind and visually impaired individuals, which was developed with the help of Celje Regional Museum. The final part of our empirical research deals with the effeciency of methods that we used in our research. The results of research show that Slovenian museums according to their options and abilities take sufficient care of adjustments and accessibility to exhibited exponents for blind and visually impaired people. |
