Abstract

Secondary title: The prevalence of augmented reality in media production
Secondary abstract: Subject of the master thesis is the prevalence of augmented reality used in media production. Data is collected by analysing ten episodes of 13 shows, which are or were broadcasted live. We are focusing our attention on amount of augmented reality techniques used in regard to target audience, ambition for higher ratings and financial limitations of the shows. Results show that augmented reality is indeed prevalent in media production for cable television, since temporary techniques of augmented reality are present at least 70% of the running time in 77% of the shows in question. However, that is not the case in regard to satelite broadcasts, where the numbers are lower.
