Abstract

Secondary title: ATTENDANCE RECORDING DEVICE BASED ON MICROCONTROLLER
Secondary abstract: This diploma work describes the realization of working time and attendance recording device. Device is realized with 32 bit microcontroller PIC32MX795F512L, which communicates with a personal computer over the USB interface. The events are recorded to the Microsoft SSQL database, which is installed on a personal computer. There’s also a special server application running at the PC, which parses the data received over the USB interface and sends them over to the database. The database stores and processes the data and finally returns processed data to the server application. In case the key has already been assigned to the certain employee, the data are sent back to the device over the USB interface, where they are being displayed on the graphical TFT display. The device is using iButton integrated circuit for identification, which is enclosed into a 16mm thick stainless steel can and has a unique serial number.
