Abstract

S povečevanjem prometa je nastala potreba po načrtovanju drugačnih tipov križišč, ki bi zagotovila hitrejši pretok vozil, večjo kapaciteto križišč in večjo varnost. Eno izmed takšnih križišč je tako imenovano turbo-krožno križišče s fizično ločenimi voznimi pasovi, pri katerem smo poskusili dokazali, da je ameriška metoda NCHRP 3-65, ki je namenjena krožnim križiščem, uporabna za izračun geometrijske zamude tudi v tovrstnih križiščih. V ta namen smo izvedli meritve hitrosti na posameznih presekih v okolici turbo-krožnega križišča, jih analizirali in nato uporabili za izračun geometrijske zamude. Nato smo opravili še empirične meritve časov, v katerih vozila prevozijo turbo-krožno križišče. Te čase smo primerjali z izračunano geometrijsko zamudo in na ta način potrdili hipotezo, da je ta metoda uporabna tudi za turbo-krožna križišča.

Secondary title: GEOMETRIC DELAY IN TURBO - ROUNDABOUTS
Secondary abstract: The increase in traffic has created the need for designing different types of intersections, which will provide faster movement of vehicles, greater capacity crossings and increased security. One of these intersections is a so-called turbo-roundabout with physically separated carriageways, for which we tried to prove that the American method NCHRP 3-65, which is aimed at the roundabouts, can allso be used to calculate the geometric delay in the turbo-roundabout. For these purposes, we performed measurements on the speed of individual sections in the vicinity of the turbo-roundabout, analyzed them and then used to calculate the geometric delay. Then we made the empirical measurements of time in which a vehicle drives through turbo-roundabout. These times were compared with the calculated geometrical delay which confirmed our hypothesis that this method is also applicable to a turbo-roundabouts.
