Abstract

Hiter in neustavljiv razvoj novih tehnologij, materialov in storitev ima močan vpliv na jezike in širitev besednega zaklada. Predvsem hitrost je odločilna, da se jezik novitetam ne prilagaja dovolj hitro in da se v strokovni jezik implementirajo tujke. Nohtna kozmetika je mlada, hitro razvijajoča se stroka, ki še nima razvitega strokovnega jezika v slovenščini, saj vsebuje veliko prevzetih tujk, kar otežuje adekvatno prevajanje na strokovni ravni. V teoretičnem delu magistrske naloge predstavljamo zvrstnost jezika, besedje, vpliv angleščine in nemščine na slovenščino, zgodovino in nekatere teorije prevajanja ter opredeljujemo prevajanje strokovnih besedil. Praktični del zajema analizo strokovnega besedila, objavljenega v strokovni reviji, ki izhaja v več jezikih in katere strokovni članki se prevajajo v vsak posamezen jezik. Po analizi in na podlagi poizvedb smo naredili glosar strokovnih izrazov v angleščini, nemščini in slovenščini. "Alles Übersetzen scheint mir schlechterdings ein Versuch zur Auflösung einer unmöglichen Aufgabe. Jeder Übersetzer muss an einer der beiden Klippen scheitern, sich entweder auf Kosten des Geschmacks und der Sprache seiner Nation zu genau an das Original, oder auf Kosten seines Originals zu sehr an die Eigentümlichkeiten seiner Nation zu halten. Das Mittel hierzwischen ist nicht bloß schwer, sondern geradezu unmöglich" (Pismo W. v. HUMBOLDTA A. W. SCHLEGLU, dne 23. 7. 1796). Humboldtova misel predstavlja bistveno in nerešljivo težavo, s katero se spopadajo vsi prevajalci že od samega začetka prevajanja.

Secondary title: Slovene technical vocabulary in the field of nail cosmetics
Secondary abstract: The fast and unstoppable development of new technologies, materials and services has a strong influence on the language and expansion of the vocabulary. The speed is relevant that the language does not adapt to novelties fast enough and that technical language implements foreign words. Nail cosmetics is a young, fast-growing profession, which has not yet developed a technical language in the Slovenian language, but rather uses numerous technical terms from foreign languages, making it difficult to adequately translate at a professional level. In the theoretical part of the master's thesis, we will present language varieties, the vocabulary, the influence of English and German languages on the Slovene language, the history and some of the translation theories; in addition, we will define the translation of technical texts. The practical part includes an analysis of professional texts published in a professional magazine, which is published in several languages and where professional articles are translated into each specific language. Based on the analysis and inquiries, we have prepared a glossary of technical terms in English, German and Slovenian. Humboldt's thought represents a fundamental and irresolvable problem, faced by all translators from the outset of translation.
