Abstract

Vsebina diplomskega dela obsega prikaz različnih stilov vodenja in njihov vpliv na zadovoljstvo zaposlenih. V teoretičnem delu smo navedli nekaj opredelitev vodenja domačih in tujih avtorjev. Prikazali smo ključne sestavine v procesu vodenja.

Secondary title: LEADERSHIP STYLES IN ORGANIZATION X
Secondary abstract: The present thesis presents different styles of leadership and their influence on employee satisfaction. The theoretical part includes a number of definitions of management by Slovenian and foreign authors. In addition, the thesis presents the key elements of the management process. Our research in the thesis focuses on the essential characteristics, abilities and personal traits that are important to make managers successful. Therefore, the thesis includes opinions of several authors who present the findings of numerous researches and experts from the area of successful management. There is a description of different styles of leadership, which are related to the formation of different management theories. With their behaviour and actions (leadership style), the managers influence the employees and their satisfaction at work. With their work, employees significantly contribute to the final success of the entire organization and therefore, their satisfaction at work is an important aspect. The concept of satisfaction at work is thus explained more in detail, together with the factors that influence employee satisfaction. The empirical part of the thesis presents the results of the research on leadership styles and their relation to employee satisfaction in organization X. For this purpose, we created a survey questionaire, which was drawn up in such a way to enable us to check the set hypotheses with the questions therein. We found out that the predominant leadership style in organization X is highly employee- and task-oriented. We evaluated this as a suitable leadership style. The research also showed that there is a relation between the leadership style and employee satisfaction in organization X.
