(1900-1918)
Abstract
Magistrsko delo z naslovom Jezikovna podoba časopisa Štajerc (1900-1918) raziskuje prvi na Ptuju izhajajoči slovensko pisani časopis. Sestavljeno je iz štirih poglavitnih delov. Prvi del oriše družbeno-politične okoliščine ter razvoj slovenskega jezika, zlasti jezikovne razmere v času izhajanja časopisa Štajerc, tj. na začetku 20. stoletja. Drugi del predstavi značilnosti publicističnega jezika, oriše začetke, razvoj ter raziskovanje le-tega. Tretji del zajema splošne in vsebinske značilnosti časopisa Štajerc.

Master's thesis entitled -Language in the newspaper "Štajerc" (1900-1918) - explores the first resulting in "Ptuj" Slovenian newspaper. It consists of four main parts. The first part outlines socio-political circumstances and the development of the Slovenian language, especially the linguistic situation of the time when "Štarejc" was published, i.e. in the early 20th century. The second part presents the characteristics of the journalistic language, outlines the beginnings, the development and its exploration. The third part covers general and contextual characteristics of the newspaper "Štajerc". The fourth part, based on the analysis of texts, represents the linguistic-stylistic characteristics of the presented newspaper. It mostly highlights deviations from the then and today's literary norm. The main purpose of the thesis was to study and present the linguistic portrait of the newspaper "Štajerc" and at the same time highlight the circumstances that influenced the choice of language resources in the newspaper. It turned out that the newspaper takes into account simultaneous literary normative forms, all at once some archaic and dialect forms are present too. From the perspective of today's vocabulary, the newspaper has many vintage and obsolete words, even conversational and lower colloquial terms. Among loanwords Germanisms and Slavisms dominate. The Newspaper "Štajerc" has a unique triumph, among the newspapers resulting in "Ptuj", because it was the first, which was published in the Slovenian language. In doing so, we must not neglect the fact that its creators were in favour of socio-political, economic and cultural integration with the Germans and that they promoted the learning of the German language among the Slovenian population. The newspaper was published in a very high circulation, which had a major influence on the readers. It influenced them not only by its content but also on the linguistic level. |
