diplomsko delo
Abstract
Prvi in zadnji dan smučarskega tečaja smo ocenili smučarsko znanje eksperimentalne in kontrolne skupine.

The influence of teaching aids on the progress in teaching alpine skiing for young children |
Secondary abstract: |
The purpose of the bachelor thesis is to find out whether teaching aids have an effect on the progress in teaching younger children alpine skiing or not. The goal of the thesis is to determine the difference in the progress of acquiring skiing skills between groups, where one of the groups included teaching aids in the learning process whereas the other did not. The research began with literature review, and was followed by comparing and summarizing a number of theoretical principles. The theoretical part includes different teaching methods for children's skiing, learning pathways, and the basics which every alpine skiing instructor should be familiar with. For the purpose of the thesis the experimental method of empirical pedagogical research was used, and to analyse the data the descriptive method with tables was used. The data was obtained by organizing a ski course. Twelve children, i.e. five girls and seven boys, aged from six to eight, were involved. On the first and the last day of the ski course the skiing skills of the experimental and the control group were assessed. The results show the differences in skiing skills between sexes and the progress between groups before and after the ski course. We established that children, learning with the help of teaching aids, achieved greater progress, however the difference between the groups was negligible. Children who were learning how to ski without teaching aids progressed as well. A significant deviation in skiing skills between sexes was also not noticed. |
