diplomsko delo
Abstract
V empiričnem delu smo predstavili mnenje učiteljev o položaju verskih vsebin v slovenskih šolah in ga primerjali z mišljenjem učiteljev v osnovnih šolah na Hrvaškem.

SOME ASPECT OF THE COMPARISON OF RELIGIOUS CONTENTS IN PRIMARY EDUCATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF SLOVENIA AND THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA |
Secondary abstract: |
The thesis is to introduce some aspects of the comparison of the treatment of religious content in education in Slovenian and Croatian school system. In determining the differences we focused on the opinion of classroom teachers on the inclusion or exclusion of religion as a subject in primary education in both educational systems. We present a historical overview of Slovenian education system over the centuries in the theoretical part, an insight into the present and some aspects of education, which have proved to be good in the future, both in the Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Croatia. Specifically, we examined the teaching of religion in public schools, a brief historical overview and the difference between catechesis and religious lesson. We also described the three most commonly established patterns of religious teaching in European schools. It follows an overview of religious content in the Slovenian education system, as it is provided by the law. We presented in details the subject of religion and ethics and the qualifications of the teachers for this subject. Comparatively it is followed by a review of religious content in the Croatian education system and how it is defined in their legislation. We talked about the status of the subject, content, objectives and competence of Croatian teachers to teach religion. In the empirical part, we presented the opinion of the teachers on the situation of religious content in Slovenian schools and compared it with the thinking of teachers in primary schools in Croatia. The survey also included the awareness of Croatian teachers on the situation of religion in Slovenian primary schools and vice versa. We note that the Croatian teachers are not satisfied with the current situation of religious education as an optional subject in public schools. Due to the excessive pressures of the Church in recent years, religion enjoys the status of a regular object. For this reason, teachers are given an opinion that religion is perceived as an obstacle in the Croatian school system, which confirmed our prediction. On the other hand, Slovenian teachers are even more satisfied with 25 years long exclusion of religion from the school system. |
