Abstract

Secondary title: The impact of teacher’s feedback on school performance in science subjects in primary school
Secondary abstract: Teacher's feedback helps the pupil to reduce the gap between the current learning situation and the intended learning goals. The thesis examines the teacher's feedback and its impact on pupils' learning performance. The main quantitative research method is a survey conducted among teachers and pupils in the 8th and 9th grade of two elementary schools in the Štajerska region in subjects chemistry and biology. The questionnaire was designed on the basis of theoretical knowledge. Research results show that pupils perceive feedback, deem it important and use it to achieve the learning objectives. It has been determined that feedback received in one subject is not only used to achieve good performance in this subject but it is also used to achieve the learning objectives in other subjects. According to students, the most useful feedback is teacher telling the pupils exactly what they are doing well and what still needs to be improved. The most influential feedback is the one before the written test.
