Abstract

Teoretična izhodišča: V diplomskem delu smo predstavili kofein in njegov vpliv na dijake. Raziskovali smo navade uživanja napitkov, ki vsebujejo kofein, med dijaki, ter pozitivne in negativne učinke kofeina. Izdelki, ki vsebujejo kofein so dandanes zelo priljubljeni, tudi med mladimi. Metode: Uporabili smo kvantitativno metodo raziskovanja. Raziskavo smo izvedli s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika. Anketirali smo 40 dijakov na dveh različnih srednjih šolah (Splošna gimnazija Velenje ter Srednja strojna šola Velenje). Vprašalnik je bil sestavljen iz 22 vprašanj zaprtega in odprtega tipa. Podatki so predstavljeni v deležih na celotni vzorec. Rezultati: Rezultati so pokazali, da mladostniki vedo kaj je kofein in v katerih napitkih ga najdemo. V večini uživajo te napitke vsakodnevno. Poznajo tudi pozitivne in negativne učinke kofeina. Diskusija in zaključki: Ugotovili smo, da vse več mladostnikov prične z uživanjem kofeinskih napitkov zelo zgodaj. Zavedajo se, da ti napitki niso najbolj zdravi oziroma priporočljivi, vendar vseeno vztrajajo pri njih zaradi razvade.

Secondary abstract: Theoretical background: This diploma work presents caffeine and its effect on students. We researched the caffeine consumption habits among students and the positive and negative effects of caffeine intake. Products containing caffeine are very popular nowadays, also among students. Methods: The quantitative method was used. Research was done with the help of questionnaire. We questioned 40 students from two different high schools (High School Velenje and Secondary School of Mechanical Engineering Velenje). The questionnaire contained 22 questions of closed- and open-ended type. The data is presented in shares of the total sample. Results: The results showed that youngsters know what caffeine is and in which beverages it can be found. In most cases, they drink those beverages on a daily basis. They are also aware of the positive and negative effects of caffeine. Discussion and conclusions: We came to conclusion that more and more youngsters start with the consumption of the caffeine containing beverages at early age. They are aware that the beverages are unhealthy, however they continue with consumption out of habit.
