Abstract

V diplomskem delu je obravnavana prosta igra otrok v vrtcu in vloga vzgojiteljev. V teoretičnem delu sem opredelila otroško igro in njene značilnosti. Opisala sem klasifikacijo igre glede na vsebino in socialno vključenost otroka. Sledi pregled razvoja otroške igre v obdobju dojenčka in malčka ter zgodnjem otroštvu. V nadaljevanju pa sem predstavila dejavnike, ki lahko vplivajo na igro in vlogo odraslega v otrokovi igri. V empiričnem delu so predstavljeni rezultati, pridobljeni z opazovanjem proste igre otrok iz dveh oddelkov druge starostne skupine v vrtcu. Igro otrok, v katero sama nisem bila vključena, sem preučevala z neposrednim opazovanjem. Opazovala sem, kakšne so vrste in vsebine iger, kakšne socialne interakcije potekajo med otroki, kdaj in koliko časa se igrajo. Zanimalo me je kakšen igralni material in igrače si otroci izbirajo oziroma ponudijo vzgojiteljice ter kakšna je vloga vzgojitelja v igri otrok.

Secondary title: Children's play and the role of preschool teacher
Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis researches free game of children in kindergarten and the role of the preschool teachers. The theoretical part defines children's game and its features. I have described classification of game according to the content and social inclusion of a child. A review of the development of child game in the period of a baby, a toddler, and early childhood. In continuation, I have presented factors, which can influence games and the role of the adults in the child's game. The empirical presents the results, which were gained by observing free game of children of two second age groups in the kindergarten. Game of children, where I was not included, was observed with direct observation. I was observing, what kind of games they played and the content the games had, which social interactions children had, when and how long they played. I wanted to know what kind of game material and toys children choose or preschool teachers offer to them and what is the role of a preschool teacher in the game of children.
