Abstract

Uvod: Helikopterska nujna medicinska pomoč predstavlja nadgradnjo in dopolnilo enotam zemeljske nujne medicinske pomoči. Služba helikopterske nujne medicinske pomoči pokriva vso Slovenijo, razen gorskega sveta, kjer intervencije izvaja Gorska reševalna služba. Uporaba helikopterske nujne medicinske pomoči povečuje možnost preživetja naglo obolelih in poškodovanih, saj zaradi svoje hitrosti omogoča lažji in hitrejši prevoz pacientov. Uporabljeni so bili recenzirani izvirni znanstveni in pregledni znanstveni članki. Uporabljeni članki so bili pridobljeni v podatkovnih bazah CINAHL with full text in Medline. Vsi zaposleni v nujni medicinski pomoči morajo imeti široko znanje in veliko spretnosti.

Secondary title: Paramedic rescue helicopter in Slovenia and in the world
Secondary abstract: Introduction: Helicopter emergency medical services represent an upgrade and supplement to units of ground emergency medical services. Helicopter emergency medical service covers whole Slovenia, except for mountains, where interventions are performed by Mountain Rescue Service. Use of helicopter emergency medical services increases the chance of survival of suddenly diseased and injured patients, because of its speed allows easier and faster transport of patients. Members of the medical helicopter crew are supposed to be more experienced, so they can easier provide high-quality medical care to injured or suddenly ill. Head of the medical team is a doctor; registered nurses usually participate in diagnostic therapeutic interventions ordered by him. Research shows that experienced and qualified nursing staff can successfully perform certain therapeutic procedures, which are usually in the domain of doctors. Purpose: The purpose of this diploma thesis is to investigate and present helicopter emergency medical service, work of paramedic in a rescue helicopter and conditions that must be met by registered nurse to work in a rescue helicopter, on a theoretical level. Methods: The descriptive method with research of Slovenian, English and German scientific literature was used. The analysis included articles published in the period from 2006 to 2016. We used peer-reviewed original scientific articles and review scientific articles. Used items were obtained in the databases CINAHL with Full Text and Medline. Results: In this diploma thesis we introduced the system of helicopter emergency medical services in Slovenia, which is organizationally still at the bottom among European countries. To work in the helicopter emergency medical services in Slovenia individuals must obtain higher medical education. Besides higher medical education rescuers in the United States, Austria, and Switzerland must obtain proper additional professional training. Discussion and conclusion: We learned that well organized helicopter emergency medical services play a significant part in modern emergency medical services as such. Slovenian helicopter emergency medical service is well developed at the professional-medical field, but on organization area is at the bottom, between the European countries. Employees of helicopter medical services have different levels of professional education. They also differ in the scope of work and their tasks. All employees in the emergency medical services should have a broad knowledge and many different skills.
