Abstract

Pridobili smo 102 izpolnjena anketna vprašalnika in jih zaradi pomanjkljivosti obdelali 99. Uporabili smo deskriptivno metodo in kavzalno-neeksperimentalno metodo raziskovanja.

Secondary title: The role of a kindergarten teacher in the early detection of motorically gifted children
Secondary abstract: The focal point of the thesis was teacher's role during the process of early discovery of kinetically talented children. The theoretical part comprised the definition of the term "talent", as well as the introduction of talent-models and the factors that influence talent development. Furthermore, this part introduced rights, needs and characteristics of kinetically talented children and significance of their early discovery. The empirical part consisted of a survey on teacher's role; namely, to what extent they were qualified for such work in terms of recognising such children, and offering them individual opportunities as well as stimulative environment for the development of their talents. The survey included a non-accidental pattern covering 120 teachers employed at public kindergartens in Slovenia's Podravska region. Due to inadequacies, the 99 of total 102 acquired questionnaires were analysed in detail, based on descriptive and cause-nonexperimental research methods. The obtained data were analysed via quantitative technique of data analysis (frequency distribution and $[chi] [sup] 2$- test). The results displayed teachers being well-qualified for work with kinetically talented children, regardless of years of service or academic degree. Moreover, teachers of all ages tend to recognise talent sings equally successful. With help of the acquired data it can be concluded that the most teachers shared a common opinion - the opportunities for individual work appeared slim, while they offered a satisfactory and stimulative kinetic environment.
