This thesis details the importance of physical activity for a healthy development of pre-school children in all areas of their development. The focus is placed mainly on outdoor physical activity, in all seasons of the year and in all types of weather. Also highlighted is the importance of outdoor physical activity, stretching over several days, in the form of a winter camp for pre-school children. Pre-school teachers, who take over the organisation of a winter camp, face a challenging task, for, as of yet, literature that would provide guidelines on how to organize such a camp, is nonexistent, both in Slovenia and abroad. Seeing as there is, for now, no literature to systematically present all of the aspects of a winter camp in nature organisation, the intention of this thesis was in fact to firstly, relate the steps in the organisation of such a winter camp for pre-school children; secondly, to describe in detail the process of the organisation that could serve to teachers as a kind of guide to organising a winter camp; and thirdly, to highlight the organisational aspects, define them chronologically, and itemize documents to which these aspects refer. |
