Abstract

Danes skoraj ni več oglasnega sporočila, v katerem ne bi nastopala ženska oziroma vsaj del njenega telesa. Ženska se že od nekdaj pojavlja v oglasih v različnih vlogah. Včasih je bila pogosteje predstavljena v vlogi matere ter gospodinje, danes jo največkrat opazimo v vlogi spolnega objekta ali pa kot »novo žensko«, ki je mešanica vseh treh že omenjenih vlog. Od posameznega medija je odvisno, kako predstavi žensko v oglasnih sporočilih. Na televiziji jo najpogosteje vidimo v vlogi matere, gospodinje oziroma »nove ženske«. V tiskanih medijih, kot so na primer ženske revije, pa je ženska najpogosteje predstavljena v vlogi spolnega objekta ter lepotnega ideala.

Secondary abstract: Today there almost is no advertisement where a woman or at least a part of her body would not appear. Since the beginning women have had different roles in advertising. At first, a woman was mostly presented in a role of a mother or housekeeper; today she is seen mostly as a sexual object or as a »new woman«, a mixture of all three mentioned roles. The nature of woman’s representation in advertising depends from a medium. On the television she is mostly seen as a mother, housekeeper or a »new woman«. In printed mediums, women magazines for example, she is mostly represented as a sexual object or as an ideal of beauty.
