Abstract

Namen diplomskega dela je bil ugotoviti vpliv naprave Aquabion , na lastnosti (sestavo) vode in na izločanje vodnega kamna. Gre za elektrogalvanski sistem in se uporablja za nevtralizacijo vodnega kamna. V prvem delu diplomske naloge smo analizirali vzorce neobdelane vode in vzorce vod po uporabi Aquabiona ter jih primerjali med sabo. V vzorcih vod smo izmerili temperaturo, pH vrednost, prevodnost, trdote in določili vsebnost cinka. Z rezultati analiz smo računsko preverili karbonatno ravnotežje. V drugem delu smo zgradbo vodnega kamna opazovali pod mikroskopom in jo natančneje identificirali s praškovno rentgensko difrakcijo. Vse analize vod smo prav tako naredili za vzorce vod obdelane z magnetom ter analizirali zgradbo izločenega vodnega kamna. Ugotovili smo, da se lastnosti vode po uporabi Aquabiona ali po magnetni obdelavi bistveno ne spremenijo. Malenkostno se poveča vsebnost cinka v vodi obdelani z Aquabionom. Rezultati računskega preverjanja karbonatnega ravnotežja so pokazali, da so vzorci vod nagnjeni k izločanju vodnega kamna. Izločeni vodni kamen iz vode po uporabi Aquabiona je bil na otip bolj prašnat in ga je bilo nekoliko lažje odstraniti iz podlage, kot vodni kamen, ki se je izločil iz neobdelane vode in vode po magnetni obdelavi. Pod mikroskopom smo videli kristale aragonita. Praškovna rentgenska difrakcija je pokazala, da je v vodnem kamnu vseh vzorcev prisoten aragonit, v vzorcih neobdelane vode pa tudi manjši del kalcita.

Secondary title: The impact of electrogalvanic system on scaling
Secondary abstract: In this study, we investigated the influence of the Aquabion, on the properties (composition) of water and on scaling. Aquabion is an electrogalvanic system which is used to neutralize calcium carbonate. Firstly, we physico-chemical analyses were performed of untreated water samples, water treated using Aquabion and the water samples using magnetic treatment. We measured the temperature, pH, conductivity, hardness, free cabonic acid and determined the zinc content of the water samples. Based on water analysis the carbonate equilibrium state of all samples was evaluated. Next we examined the structure of calcium carbonate using a microscope and then further examined it using a x-ray diffraction. The crystalline form of calcium carbonate was determined. The results showed that characteristics of water through the use of Aquabion or magnetic treatment do not significantly change. The water which was treated with Aquabion had a slightly higher zinc content. The results of the calculation of carbonate equilibrium confirmed that in all the samples of water show a tendency to precipitation of calcium carbonate. The carbonate which was eliminated from the water after treatment using Aquabion was more powdery in texture, and it was slightly easier to remove from the surface, then that of the untreated water and after magnetic treatment. We see the crystals of aragonite under the microscope. The X-ray diffraction showed the presence of aragonite in all water samples. The samples of untreated water also contained small proportion of calcite.
