diplomsko delo

Abstract

Secondary title: PUPIL'S ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE TEACHERS WHO DISCIPLINE THEM
Secondary abstract: The aim of my thesis was to determine whether pupils' attitudes towards teachers change when they are disciplined or do they remain the same, and how the pupils feel; do they care, do they feel anything, e. g. hate, anger, guilt, shame, are they offended or they just don't care. The first part of this thesis consists of theoretical starting points. The second part, however, presents different situations which require teachers' actions and the pupils' reactions to them. They are based on a questionnaire survey prepared for the 4th and 5th grade pupils of full-time elementary schools. The results of the empirical study have been obtained by means of a questionnaire survey. The questionnaire consisted of 10 closed questions. The study included 102 pupils. The results show that the majority of the pupils, whatever the punishment or the action taken, did not change their attitude. Some rare examples show small change in form of short-term anger or resentment. None of them, however, would change the attitude. The findings also show that there is no significant difference in the attitude of the pupils towards the teachers when the parents are involved. There is significant difference between boys and girls, or between 4th grade and 5th grade pupils.
