Povzetek
Osnovna prvina javne televizije so raznovrstni in kakovostni programi za otroke, ki otroke zabavajo, izobražujejo, informirajo in vzbudijo njihovo radovednost. Gledanje televizije prevladuje v vsakdanu otrok, predstavlja jim vir zabave, ob njej pa se nezavedno učijo, zato je vsebina, ki jo predvajajo, za otrokov razvoj ključnega pomena. Večina raziskovalcev, ki je proučevala otroke in televizijo, se navezuje na otrokovo razumevanje novic, tekstov in oddaj, zanimale so jih raziskave vplivov medijev na otroke in raziskave o kakovostnih otroških oddajah, manj pa jih analizira povezanost otrok in televizije s področja produkcije izobraževalnih televizijskih vsebin. V magistrskem delu sem želela pridobiti dejanski vpogled v nastajanje oddaje Firbcologi in hkrati v perspektive ustvarjalcev oddaje, ne le o oddaji, temveč tudi o otroškem občinstvu in kriterijih kakovosti oddaje. S poglobljenimi intervjuji sem ugotovila, da so Firbcologi informativna oddaja, s prikrito izobraževalno funkcijo. Oddajo soustvarjajo radovedni otroci, ki so vedno vključeni v središče zgodbe. Otroci so definirani kot zahtevno občinstvo, ki potrebuje kakovosten program, ki ustreza njihovim željam in je predstavljen na njim razumljiv način. Analiza poglobljenih intervjujev izpolnjuje vse kriterije kakovostnega otroškega programa in nakazuje, da otroke h gledanju pritegne kakovostna in raznolika vsebina, zanimiva zgodba, simpatični liki in junaki ter hiter in dinamičen ritem.

The basic elements of public television are diverse and quality programmes for children that entertain, educate, inform and nurture their curiosity. Watching television prevails in a child’s daily routine. It represents a source of entertainment for them but at the same time they may subconsciously learn, therefore the displayed content has a plays a vital part in the child’s development. The majority of the researchers that studied children and television have analysed a child’s understanding of the news, text and shows. They have been mostly of studies regarding the influence of the media on children and research about the quality of TV shows for children, but fewer analyse the correlation between children and television from the field of producing educational television content. What I wanted to acquire in this masters thesis was to take a good look into the making of the television show Fribcologi and at the same time into the perspective of the show makers, not only about the show, but also about the children audience and the quality criteria. With in-depth interviews I came to a conclusion that Firbcologi is a informative programme with indirect function. The show is being co-created by curious children that are always in the center of the plot lines. Children are defined as a demanding audience. They need a quality programme that suits their wishes and is presented the way they understand. Analysis of the in-depth interviews fits every criteria of a quality programme for children. It indicates that children are attracted to watch quality and diverse content, interesting plot lines, likeable characters and fast, dynamic tempo. |
