Povzetek

Diplomska naloga z naslovom Otroci raziskujejo zgodovino in simbole našega kraja vsebuje teoretični in empirični del, ki sem ga izvedla neposredno z otroki iz skupine Zajčki v vrtcu. Otroci so bili stari 4–6 let. Projekt je potekal štiri tedne. Njihova vzgojiteljica Tadeja Robnik je projekt z veseljem odobrila. V teoretičnem delu sem predstavila, kako poteka učenje v vrtcu v povezavi z igro, kaj je aktivno učenje, značilnosti učenja z raziskovanjem in učenja z raziskovanjem zaprtega tipa, ki sem ga sama izvedla, ter opisala projektno delo. V empiričnem delu pa so predstavljene celotne dejavnosti, ki smo jih izvajali štiri tedne. Vsako raziskovanje in ustvarjanje z otroki sem dokumentirala s fotografijami ter jih dodala opisom dejavnosti. Opisane so tudi tedenske evalvacije ter skupna evalvacija dejavnosti. Med izvajanjem dejavnosti z otroki sem ugotovila, kako otroke motivira raziskovanje in iskanje česa novega. Otroci so željni novih informacij, zato je pomembno, da jim strokovni delavci to nudimo in jim omogočimo, da raziskujejo.

Sekundarni povzetek: This diploma paper, which is entitled The children are exploring the history and symbols of our village, consists of theoretical and empirical work. I conducted the empirical research involving ‘Rabbits’ group of kindergarten children. The children were 4-6 years old. The project was finished in 4 weeks and their teacher Tadeja Robnik was pleased to approve of it. In the theoretical part I described kindergarten learning related to the educational games, what is active learning and characteristics of learning through exploration. I've also included learning by closed-type research that I did myself, and I described the project work in the kindergarten. The empirical part of this work is based on all the activities we have been doing for four weeks. I have documented every exploration and creating with the children through photographs which have been added to the description of the activities. Weekly evaluations and joint activity evaluation are also described. While carrying out activities with the children, I have found out how motivated children are to explore and find something new. Children are eager to search for new information, and it is therefore very important that we make it possible for them to explore.
