Sekundarni naslov: ǂThe ǂimpact of leadership on motivating new generations
Sekundarni povzetek: In theory, many different leadership styles can be found, when choosing which one is appropriate, and how and in what way to successfully motivate your employees. We know many different leadership styles as well as motivational theories, but they are much harder to put into practice. When we run a large company and / or a large group of people, it is difficult to find one, universal way that will be successful for everyone. However, because success and competitiveness in a market that is increasingly saturated with competition requires satisfied and highly motivated employees, more and more leaders are facing the problem of how to succeed. We are all different from each other, we are driven by different goals and motives. In the labor market, different generations of employees or jobseekers are intertwined. Regardless of the fact that we are all different from each other, members of certain generations can be attributed to certain characteristics, priorities, desires and factors that motivate them. The aim of the diploma project is to determine what are the main factors for successful leadership and motivation of the new generation in the labor market and how leaders and managers should successfully deal with it. The diploma project is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part of the diploma project, we first presented leadership styles and in theory told when it makes sense to choose one of them, what are the factors influencing the selection and theoretically presented how to lead successfully and what is the importance of authority and power of a leader for successful leadership. We also presented motivational theories, theoretically described how to successfully motivate employees and why employee motivation is so important. We also presented various influences on motivation and how leadership style and employee motivation are directly related to each other. We took a closer look at the new generation of the workforce, Generation Y and Generation Z, what they expect, want from the workplace and what their priorities are in the workplace. In the empirical part, we conducted a field research and then analyzed the obtained results and compared them with an existing study conducted in Canada. Based on the obtained data, we also made suggestions for practice.
