Sekundarni naslov: 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE PRIMARY SCHOOL LJUDSKI VRT
Sekundarni povzetek: In my diploma work I presented the history and the development of the school system in Ptuj, I emphasized the primary school Ljudski vrt. The year 1958 was the most important turning point for the school system after the 2nd World war, because primary school that lasted 8 years was legalized as an only form of compulsory school attendance. On 7th August 1958 the primary school Ptuj III was established with the resolution of the district folk council Ptuj, number 01/I-6885/1 with seat in Presernova street (building of grammar school) and was determined as catchment area. Classes started on 5th September 1958 in the premises of 31 Presernova street, in six classrooms and in another classroom in the vicinity in the boarding house in two shifts - there were 11 departments and 417 pupils were registered. In February 1959 it was renamed to primary school Franc Osojnik. The premises became to small and they had to find new space for the primary school, the problem was solved temporarily with the building of a school pavilion on Potrceva street - there were four classrooms, a teachers' room, a closet, an office, a toilet and a hall with hall cupboards. Because there were classes in 11 units, two classrooms were still in the premises of the grammar school on Presernova street. The opening of the premises on Potrceva street took place on 12th September 1960. In the school year 1964/1965 the primary school Franc Osojnik started lessons in the new premises in the estate Trubarjeva street, at present 10 Zupanciceva street and it is still at the same location. On 10th March 1992 the school was renamed to primary school Ljudski vrt Ptuj. Within the framework of the primary school Ljudski vrt there is a branch in Grajena - primary school Grajena was connected to the primary school Franc Osojnik on 1st September 1962. At the time of establishment the primary school Ptuj III was the smallest primary school in Ptuj that developed to the most important primary school in Ptuj and was number 14 on the list of the number of registered pupils in Slovenia. In the school year 2008/2009 there were 617 pupils registered in 27 units in the primary school Ljudski vrt (together with the branch in Grajena 789 pupils attended school in 36 units).
