Sekundarni povzetek: In the event of a merger between the Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering and the Department of Geology of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering a single location shall be considered in order to enable easier work for students and employees. When locating or rather extending the faculty, the suitability of the location chosen shall first be considered since a faculty is regarded as a complex structure in particular area. The location of the faculty is thus of great importance and so is the arrangement of activities around the faculty. One of the possibilities is the extension of the existent Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering on Jamova cesta towards Tržaška cesta. Various analyses were performed for this area in the course of diploma thesis preparations and the results have showed that this area is suitable for the extension of the faculty.
