Sekundarni povzetek: The purpose of this research was to determine how many Slovenian primary school teachers has the appropriate title to teach swimming; how many of them actually teaches it; how many teachers, who do not have the appropriate title wants to have it; who performs swimming lessons and field trips with swimming content and how many primary school teachers feel competent to teach swimming. The research involved primary school teachers, which are teaching in primary schools across Slovenia. An anonymous online survey was answered by 115 people including three male teachers and 112 female teachers. The data was analyzed in the online statistical program 1ka. The results have shown the situation of primary school teachers, entitled to teach swimming (41 %), is adequately. The teachers, with this title, teach swimming in majority (75 %), which is encouraging. Less than half of primary school teachers (47 %), who are not yet entitled to teach swimming wants to be. At swimming lessons and field trips with swimming content swimming is taught by sports teachers, primary school teachers and external professionals. Almost half (48 %) of primary school teachers feels competent to teach swimming.

Povzetek (ePrints): Namen raziskave je bil ugotoviti, koliko razrednih učiteljev slovenskih osnovnih šol ima ustrezen naziv za poučevanje plavanja; koliko od teh učiteljev učenje plavanja tudi izvaja; koliko razrednih učiteljev, ki še nimajo pridobljenega naziva vaditelj plavanja želi ta naziv pridobiti; kdo na šolah izvaja plavalni tečaj in šolo v naravi s plavalno vsebino ter koliko razrednih učiteljev se počuti kompetentnih za poučevanje plavanja. V raziskavi so sodelovali učitelji in učiteljice razrednega pouka, ki poučujejo na osnovnih šolah po vsej Sloveniji. Na anonimni spletni vprašalnik je odgovorilo 115 oseb, od tega 3 razredni učitelji in 112 razrednih učiteljic. Podatki so bili obdelani v spletnem statističnem programu 1ka. Rezultati raziskave so pokazali, da je stanje razrednih učiteljev s pridobljenim nazivom vaditelj plavanja (41 %) zadovoljivo. Učitelji, ki imajo pridobljen ta naziv plavanje v večini (75 %) plavanje tudi poučujejo, kar je spodbudno. Slaba polovica razrednih učiteljev (47 %), ki še nimajo pridobljenega naziva vaditelj plavanja, si želi ta naziv pridobiti. Na tečajih plavanja in šolah v naravi s plavalno vsebino učijo plavanje športni pedagogi, razredni učitelji in zunanji delavci. Skoraj polovica razrednih učiteljev (48 %) se počuti kompetentnih za poučevanje plavanja.
