Sekundarni naslov: Comparison of drawings of identical twins in the pre-school and early school period
Sekundarni povzetek: Twins have throughout the history been a source of excitement as well as superstition. Already the Maya were excited about the fact two bodies can look completely alike. In the Ancient Rome, births of two male babies were worshipped; births of two female babies were, however, considered to reflect misfortune and burden. Nowadays, the number of twins is increasing, whereas the number of identical twins remains unchanged. Identical twins currently represent almost two per mile of the world population. Identical twins differ from twins in the fact that they share the same DNA. Scientists have found out that creativity and genius are placed on the second place of behavioral features which are to a large extent genetically conditioned. Since identical twins share the same DNA, and there is a great possibility they also share the same level of creativity. In the field of creativity also belongs drawing, which in the thesis carries the main role. In the thesis, drawings of identical twins, aged between three and seven years, have been compared. The drawings are dated and follow a chronological order. They were made by identical twins that were brought up within the same family and share the same DNA, and they were drawn on the same topic, at the same time and in the same pre-school group. Their drawings have been compared from the view of the development of human figure, from the visual-spatial and expressive view. Using 21 examples of each twin, an interesting analysis has been prepared that showed similarities and differences in their art expression.
