| Sekundarni povzetek: | This diploma work deals with thermodynamic process of air compression in screw and comparable piston compressors. The calculated results are based on measured values through years of operating and show a realistic view of compressor performance. Focusing strictly on thermodynamical process of compression there is a slight variation between the two types, showing that the piston compressor has a better yield. However, because of the different construction solutions between the two types, I conclude that the screw compressor represents a better choice for such application. |
