Sekundarni naslov: Eating habits and nutritional attitudes of pregnant women based on the number of pregnancies
Sekundarni povzetek: The nutritional habits of pregnant women significantly affect their health and the health of their fetus. By consuming suitable foods an adequate intake of nutritional and protective substances necessary for growth and evolution of the fetus can be achieved, thus maintaining overall health and normal functioning of the body. The aim of the research is to determine if there is any difference in the nutritional habits of pregnant women, according to the number of pregnancies. A survey questionnaire, which includes 22 questions of closed-ended type was used as a study tool. A quantitative work method was used as well. Data obtained by the survey questionnaire were analyzed using a t-test and a hi-square test in order to determine the differences between both groups. Significant differences between the eating habits of the pregnant women, who are pregnant for the first time, and the pregnant women, pregnant for the second time or more, have not been established, therefore it cannot be stated that the interviewees from one group eat more than the interviewees from the other, in compliance with the recommendations on balanced nutrition. Only a statistical significance between both groups of pregnant women in view of the foods rich in folic acid was determined. A balanced nutrition during pregnancy is very important, since the need for nutrients is increased and therefore an adequate energy intake is required. In the area of recommended nutrition of pregnant women and in the area of health education work there are still many issues needed to be addressed, since changing the nutritional recommendations, the nutrition itself changes.
