Povzetek

V magistrskem delu smo se ukvarjali s šolskim svetovalnim delom na srednjih šolah. Zanimalo nas je, kakšna je vloga šolske svetovalne službe na srednjih šolah, katere so njene naloge, kakšne so posebnosti svetovanja srednješolcem ter kakšne so izkušnje in odnos dijakov do šolskega svetovalnega dela. Pri šolskem svetovalnem delu na srednjih šolah je v ospredju poklicna orientacija in svetovanje dijakom pri prehajanju na naslednjo stopnjo izobraževanja ter reševanje različnih življenjskih težav. Šolski svetovalni delavci se pogosto poslužujejo neposrednih oblik pomoči, s katerimi se dijakom pomagajo spoprijemati s številnimi spremembami in težavami, s katerimi se srečujejo v obdobju mladostništva. V empiričnem delu nas je zanimalo šolsko svetovalno delo z vidika dijakov. Namen raziskave, ki smo jo opravili na sedmih srednjih šolah in je zajemala 376 dijakov, je bil ugotoviti, kakšen je odnos dijakov do šolskega svetovalnega dela in kakšne izkušnje imajo z njim. S pomočjo Mann-Whitneyevega U-preizkusa in ▫$\chi^2$▫ preizkusa smo iskali razlike glede na spol in vrsto šole. Ugotovili smo, da so tako gimnazijci kot dijaki srednjih poklicnih in strokovnih šol dobro seznanjeni z delom šolske svetovalne službe, vendar se redko poslužujejo njene pomoči. Dijaki šolsko svetovalno službo dojemajo kot pomemben del šolskega okolja, vendar se pri iskanju pomoči pogosteje zatekajo k vrstnikom ali staršem.

Sekundarni povzetek: In the master's thesis, we are dealing with school counselling in secondary schools. We were interested in the role of a school counselling service in secondary schools, what are their tasks, what are the specifics of counselling to secondary school students, and what are the experiences and attitude of secondary school students towards school counselling. The focus of school counselling in secondary schools is on professional orientation and counselling to students who are passing over to the next level of education and solving various life problems. School counsellors often use direct methods of help to aid students cope with numerous changes and problems which they are dealing with in adolescence. In the empirical part, we were interested in school counselling from students' point of view. The purpose of the research, which was carried out in seven secondary schools and included 376 students, was to determine students' attitude towards school counselling and find out what are their experiences with it. With the help of Mann-Whitney U-test and ▫$\chi^2$▫-test, we have determined the differences according to gender and type of school. We found that both grammar school students and students of vocational and technical schools are well aware of the work of school counselling services but are rarely using their help. Students perceive the school counselling service as an important part of the school environment, but when seeking help, they more often resort to peers and parents.
