Sekundarni povzetek: The thesis presents the role of social networks in organizations in the case study of educational institution. Social network within organization aimed to connect all participants, while offering many forms and methods of communication within the organization itself. The prototype methodoly was applied during development. Development began with analysis, where we gathered all the necessary requirments. This was followed by evaluation of open source software that supports social networking, where Joomla platform was chosen. Implementation of network starts wih strategy and three-step plan. Software packages and their purpose are described and also network as result of development and adaption with developing component for one-mode network analysis. This work depicts one way how to use web services to create added value throught the use od social networking. Finally, a software prototype is a foundation for further studies and improvements in web service technologies.
