Sekundarni povzetek:	With an increasing competition, market demands continuous improvements from the companies in order to increase quality of products, lowering costs, and achieving competitiveness. We have discussed the process of determining normative quantities of materials for packaging of finished products in a larger manufacturing company that deals with manufacturing of semi-finished products and packaging of finished products. A process of manufacturing planning is included in the entire process from the moment of entering the sales forecast or buyer´s order into information system to the moment of launching the process order for covering the needs. Based on the produced series of finished products and used packaging materials, we have suggested models of determining normative materials that take into account the size of the manufacturing order and type of material.
