Podatki so bili pridobljeni z anketnim vprašalnikom.

Sekundarni naslov: Empowering patients with chronic disease
Sekundarni povzetek: Introduction: Chronic diseases are the greatest cause of death and disability worldwide today and have brought a great shift in the roles and responsibilities of patients. In the process of treatment, the patient often faces problems and decisions. Patient empowerment reflects the ability of patients, who, with their lifestyle, have a positive impact on their health and improve their standard of living, despite the limitations brought about by a chronic illness. The purpose of the diploma is to investigate the accessibility and understanding of the individual's information on their state of health, and to determine what is the empowerment of patients with chronic diseases. Research Methods: We used theoretical research methods of work in the first section of the diploma. In the research part, a quantitative research methodology was used. The data were obtained using a questionnaire. The study involved 87 patients with chronic disease. Results: It has been established that patients are of the opinion that they understand and take into account the advice of health professionals but are potentially unaware of the progression of chronic disease. They know the symptoms and warning signs and the conditional effect of the disease on their lifestyle. The empowerment of patients are on a scale of 0 to 12. The average being 7.2. Discussion and Conclusion: The number of people with chronic illnesses is rising significantly, but despite this global problem, people are not well aware of this. With greater responsibility for your health and your body, we can avoid the inconveniences and changes in the lifestyle caused by a chronic illness. By doing this, we improve the knowledge of our own body, improve the quality of life, and, last but not least, we reduce costs in the health system.
