Povzetek

Diplomska naloga govori o neplodnosti kot tabu temi. Točnih statističnih podatkov o številu neplodnih parov ni, saj veliko ljudi ne želi govoriti o tem, ker se boji družbene stigme. Ocenjujejo pa, da se s problemom neplodnosti sooča približno 15 odstotkov ljudi. Ker je v očeh družbe še zmeraj zaželeno, da ima vsak biološko lastnega otroka, se morata posameznika, ki imata probleme s plodnostjo, tako kot posameznik kot tudi kot par, spopasti s stresom in različnimi izgubami, ob soočenju z neplodnostjo pa nastanejo občutki, kot so šok, jeza, prizadetost, krivda in žalost, sočasno pa se morata spopasti še z medsebojnim odnosom in odnosom družbe. Teoretične ugotovitve, ki sem jih predhodno poiskala, sem preverila s pomočjo kvalitativne metode raziskovanja, uporabila sem intervju. Intervjuvala sem pet parov, ki imajo probleme z zanositvijo. Predvsem sem od njih želela izvedeti, kako je neplodnost spremenila njun odnos, odnos z družino, prijatelji in drugimi, kakšno sta imela izkušnjo na kliniki ter zakaj mislijo, da se o neplodnosti v družbi ne govori.

Sekundarni povzetek:	The main topic of this Bachelor's thesis is infertility as a taboo. There is no accurate statistical data about infertility couples, as many people do not wish to discuss it, because of the fear of certain stigma from the society. However, estimations are that fifteen percent of people are facing with infertility. Due to the fact that society's expecations are still focused on every couple having their own biological children, people dealing with infertility related problems must face stress and different losses, both as an invidual and as a couple. Furthermore, when fighting with infertility, feeling such as shock, anger, hurt, guilt and sadness also arise and apart from that the couple must also deal with their own relationship and society's response. I checked my previously found theoretical findings with the help of qualitative method of research and used interview. I interviewed five couples that are facing issues with conception. My research was focused on finding out how infertility impacted couple's relationship, relationships with their family, friends and others, on their experiences with the clinic and why do they think that the society does not speak openly about the infertility.
