Arhitekturna prenova mestnega trga v Velenju

Povzetek

Po drugi svetovni vojni, v obdobju socializma ter hitre industrializacije, urbanizacije in deagrarizacije, je svojo podobo in svoj prepoznavni pečat dobilo mlado mesto Velenje. Mesto se je v kratkem času, na podlagi rešitev različnih urbanističnih načrtov, hitro začelo razvijati in dobilo naziv modernističnega mesta v parku. S svojo moderno arhitekturno zasnovo je drugačno od drugih slovenskih mest. Stavbe so zamišljene ambiciozno, drzno, estetsko in funkcionalno. Na vsakem koraku pa navdušuje narava, saj je mesto zrastlo v parku. Potencial Velenja se kaže v nadgradnji ambicioznih zamisli odprtega javnega prostora, saj je v času od izgradnje mesta Velenje prišlo do velikih sprememb v družbeni strukturi, kjer je potrebno celovito prilagoditi in nadgraditi nekatere zastarele arhitekturne, tehnološke in sociološke vidike mesta. S predlogom arhitekturne prenove in revitalizacije mestnega trga podamo konkretne rešitve za vzpostavitev funkcije odprtega javnega prostora z novimi spremljajočimi programi, ki pomagajo privabiti uporabnike in na ta način izboljšati utrip mesta, na območju Titovega trga. Na trgu vzpostavimo prostorsko kvaliteto, identiteto mestnega središča, ki ga definiramo, preoblikujemo in prilagodimo s programsko pestrostjo po potrebi mesta, uporabnikov, prebivalcev in turistov. Prenova osrednjega trga poveže ter dopolni obstoječo stavbno strukturo in obenem poda smernice za nadaljnji razvoj in napredek urbanega planiranja. Z idejno zasnovo prenove mestnega jedra želimo ustvariti kvaliteten odprti prostor po sodobnih načelih bivanja.

Sekundarni povzetek:	After the Second World War, during the period of socialism and rapid industrialization, urbanization and deagrarization, the young city of Velenje created its own image with a distinctive mark. Within a short period of time the city started to develop quickly and gained the title of a modernist town in a park, as a result of various urban plans. Its modern architectural design makes it different from other Slovenian cities. The buildings are conceived as ambitious, bold, aesthetic and functional. With every step we can observe the engaging natural environment as the city emerged in a park. The potential of Velenje can be observed in the upgrade of ambitious ideas of an open public space, as there have been major changes in the social structure since the beginning of the construction of Velenje, where it was necessary to fully adapt and upgrade certain outdated architectural, technological and sociological aspects of the city. With the proposal of architectural renovation and revitalization of the town square we provide actual solutions for establishing the function of an open public space with new accompanying programs that help attract visitors and thus improve the city throb in the Tito Square area. We create spatial quality at the square, the identity of a city center, which we define, transform and accommodate with a program variety according to the needs of the city, visitors, locals and tourists. The renovation of the main square connects and complements the existing building structure and at the same time provides guidelines for further development and progress of urban planning. With the idea of renovating the city center we want to create a quality open space in accordance with the modern principles of living.
