Povzetek
V zadnjih dvajsetih letih smo bili priča številnim velikim prebojem na področju podjetništva. Veliko je namreč primerov visokotehnoloških podjetij, ki so v relativno kratkem časovnem obdobju prebila med najuspešnejša svetovna podjetja. Seveda se pri tem poraja logično vprašanje: kako se ta podjetja razlikujejo od ostalih, predvsem kakšne so razlike v njihovem upravljanju, kakšno organizacijsko kulturo gojijo in kdo so njihovi managerji.
V magistrskem delu z vidika managementa proučujemo tri najuspešnejša tehnološka podjetja na svetu: Amazon, Apple in Google. V teoretičnih poglavjih magistrskega dela smo ugotovili, da se v različnih tipih organizacij pojavljajo različni načini vodenja organizacij, ki imajo svoje prednosti in slabosti. Podobno velja tudi za snovanje organizacijske kulture, ki prav tako pomembno zaznamuje delovanje vsake organizacije. Poleg omenjenega pa veliko vlogo v tem kontekstu igrajo tudi vrhnovni managerji, ki s svojimi osebnostnimi lastnosti in različnimi stili vodenja vplivajo na norme in vrednote v organizaciji.
Skozi študijo primerov najuspešnejših tehnoloških podjetij smo ugotovili, da imajo z vidika managementa in organizacijske kulture veliko skupnega, še posebej ko govorimo o komponentah za katere smo v teoretičnem delu ugotovili, da najpomembneje vplivajo na uspešnost organizacij. Med najpomembnejše ugotovitve spada dejstvo, da so vsa tri podjetja izrazito dolgoročno naravnana, da imajo jasno definirano vizijo in misijo, ki ju tudi dosledno uresničujejo. To pomeni, da so vse odločitve in aktivnosti izpepljanje v obziru do dolgoročne vizije. Zelo pomembna ugotovitev je tudi, da je pri vseh treh podjetjih gonilo inovacij zadovoljstvo potrošnikov in ne aktivnosti konkurence.
Managerji v najuspešnejših organizacijah so si sicer lahko različni v določenih osebnostnih karakteristikah, vseeno pa smo ugotovili, da imajo veliko skupnih lastnosti, ki so po našem mnjenju za uspešno delovanje v novodobnem poslvnem svetu tudi najpomembnejše. Med te karakteristike spadajo skromnost, odprtost za novosti, sposobnost analitičnega razmišljanja in fanatična zagnanost in želja po uresničevanju začrtane vizije.

Over the past twenty years, we have witnessed many great breakthroughs in the field of entrepreneurship. There are many examples of high-tech companies that have broken through the most successful global companies within a relatively short period of time. Of course, there is a logical question: how do these companies differ from others, in particular what are the differences in their management, what kind of organizational culture they are cultivating, and who are their managers.
In this master thesis, we study three of the world's most successful technology companies from the management point of view: Amazon, Apple and Google. In theoretical chapters of the master's thesis, we have found that different types of organizations employ different approaches of managing organizations each having their advantages and disadvantages. The same applies to the creation of an organizational culture, which also significantly affects the functioning of each organization. In addition to this, great role in this context is played by top managers who, with their personality traits and different leadership styles, influence the norms and values of the entire organization.
Through the case study of the most successful technology companies, we have found plenty of commonalities in terms of management and organizational culture, especially when we are talking about the components which we in theoretical part identified as the most influential on the performance of organizations. One of the most important findings is the fact that all three companies are very long-term oriented. Additionally, they all have a clearly defined vision and mission that they rigorously pursue. This means that all decisions and activities are based on a long-term vision. It is also very important to note that the driving force behind innovation among all three companies is satisfaction of consumers and not activities of competition.
Managers in the most successful organizations may differ in certain personality characteristics, however, we have found that they possess many common features, which, in our opinion, are the most important for success in the modern business world. Among these characteristics are modesty, open-mindedness, the ability of analytical thinking, fanatic enthusiasm and the strong desire to achieve the vision. |
