diplomsko delo

Sekundarni povzetek: In this diploma we studied differences in speech of 5-year olds in a 6 months period. In the theoretical part we introduced child's speech development, characteristics of speech development, factors that influence a child's speech development and options to encourage child's speech within the family and kindergarten. In the empirical part we showed results of our research where we divided 5-year olds into an experimental and a control group. We did two tests with both groups. Between the tests we did various exercises and activities to enrichen speech in both groups. With storytelling about the fairy-tale we read, we examined if there are any differences in speech between the two groups. The research showed there are differences between the two groups. We had the biggest issues at the first test. Children were having problems with telling the story in sequence, it was hard telling the story just with pictures. At the second test we saw progress in both groups, especially with children from the experiment groups, because all the activities we used to enrichen speech, helped. Their story telling included better, fuller sentences, they didn't use only lists. They told the story in the correct sequence of events, during their storytelling they even altered their voices according to their feelings.
