Sekundarni naslov: | Determination of plant hormone-like substances of the japanese knotweed (Fallopia japonica) and canadian goldenrod (Solidago canadensis) with bioassay (Triticum and Avena assay) |
Sekundarni povzetek: | The japanese knotweed (Fallopia japonica) and canadian goldenrod (Solidago canadensis) are common invasive species in Slovenia that spread very quickly. In our study, we tried to determine the hormonal status of both invasive species with bioassay for plant hormone-like substances. Bioassays are a simple, affordable method for determining plant hormones and related substances. We used Avena (oat) bioassay for auxin-like substances and Triticum (wheat) bioassay for cytokinin-like substances. In studied invasive species, we found between 17 \mug and 332 \mug of auxins per gram of dried or lyophilized mass of invasive plants at different development stages. No cytokinins were observed with bioassays. The lyophilized material contained slightly more hormone-like substances than dried material. |
