Podatke smo z IBM SPSS obdelali in analizirali.

Sekundarni naslov: Nursing care students' attitude towards people with special needs
Sekundarni povzetek: Theoretical background: Nursing students' positive attitudes are important because they are the ones who will be meeting with people with special needs and their families on a daily basis, and will influence their holistic care and many other factors. Research methodology and methods: The research was based on a quantitative research methodology with an ATDP scale. The survey was conducted from April to June 2019. 280 respondents participated. The data was processed and analyzed with IBM SPSS. Descriptive statistics and a t-test were used to confirm the hypotheses. Results: It has been found that with the ATDP scale more than 60% of the respondents achieved a positive attitude towards persons with special needs. It has been established that there is no link between the ATDP scales and the presence of physical/intellectual disabilities in family members or friends; persons who had/did not have contact with patients with physical/intellectual disabilities; the year of undergraduate and postgraduate studies; and age. It has been found that gender affects attitudes towards people with disabilities (U = 4515.50, p = 0.039). Discussion and conclusion: Despite the fact that the results have shown that the respondents have a positive attitude, it is necessary to strengthen, develop and upgrade their attitudes with new knowledge and experiences. The educational institution and the curriculum, which should include several topics on special needs, play a major role in this process. The area of special needs in Slovenia still requires a great deal of change, since this field is rarely talked about and explored. It is important to continue to carry out research that would identify the attitudes among nursing students across Slovenia and to determine which factors affect their attitudes.
